Hi, I'm John.
I studied Music at university, graduating with a first-class honours degree, before spending years performing with covers and original bands at venues across the UK and Europe. Since then, I've had the pleasure of performing at over a thousand weddings professionally — and in April 2026, I finally got to experience one from the other side of the aisle when I got married myself.
People often ask what my favourite music is. The Beatles. Always The Beatles. Outside of music, I'm usually found with my nose in a book, pottering about in the garden, or being supervised by my two cats, Agatha and Phoebe.
My Approach
My playing sits somewhere between folk and indie-acoustic — I put my own stamp on every cover I play, so nothing sounds like a straight copy. The aim is always music that feels like it belongs at your wedding, not someone else's.
